When Brittany first contacted me to book a family session she suggested we hold it at her home at around 3pm in the afternoon, now for photographers living in North Queensland we know that the sun is quite harsh at that time of day so the first question we ask, is there shade? Now my entire life I have dreamt of living in an old North Queenslander home, its a dream of mine, the character and history does something to my heart. I haven’t fulfilled that dream, yet! So lets just say when I turned up to Brittany’s home, I wondered and I am sure they worried if I was ever going to leave, it was hard let me tell you haha, I was in paradise, oh and the light was gorgeous!

Family Photography is best held in the later part of the afternoon when the sun has settled down and we are starting to get that nice soft golden light. We stop often for little ones to have a snack, cuddle or just run and play, and often I will catch some great photos of them just being themselves.
‘What do I wear’ is often a question I get asked, the most important thing is for you to feel is comfortable, then try to have one main colour then adding floral in the same tones for girls or matching similar tones. Yes you can wear jeans, nothing wrong with jeans.
