When should I book my newborn or maternity session?

Newborns are best photographed between 5-15 days of age, so preferably a few months before you are due.  However, if your little one has arrived, don’t hesitate to contact me as I often keep a few spots up my sleeve.  If your little one arrives early, let me know and we will reschedule.

Maternity sessions are held when you are around 32-34 weeks so book in as early as possible.

Do you provide maternity gowns?

I do have a small selection of gowns that I can show you but you are also welcome to bring your own dresses or outfits that you enjoy wearing or make you feel most comfortable.

Are family included?

Yes family are included in all sessions, with the exception of children’s portrait photography.

Do you supply everything needed for my baby’s session?

Yes, I do. Everything is included for your little one’s session – all props, backdrops, wraps and cute little outfits are supplied. All you need do is dress yourself and the rest of your family. If you do have something special, you would like used in your session please let me know beforehand so I can plan how we can best use it.

What if bub becomes unwell or a member of our family becomes unwell just before our session?

Please let me know asap, we will reschedule. I also like to keep on top of my own health and free from any bugs as I am always working with newborns so appreciate everyone coming into the studio to be well and healthy.

Vaccinations, are you up to date?

100% I stay up to date with whooping cough along with flu and recently Covid 19.

Is my booking fee refundable or transferable?

Your booking fee is not refundable but is transferable.

Do you offer payment plans?

When you book your session I will send you an invoice,. Your booking fee must be paid to secure your booking. You are free to pay off the remainder of your package up until the date of your session or please discuss a payment time with your photographer. We are happy to help.

How long before we see our photos?

Please allow 3 weeks, I pride myself on delivering beautiful imagery and put my heart and soul into each and every photo that goes into your gallery. I will contact you to let you know your gallery is ready and how to access your gallery.

Where are you located and what are your opening hours?

We have a home studio for newborn and cake smash sessions in Kirwan, Townsville. We work every day of the week to suit your needs, although newborn sessions are held at 9.30am in the mornings. Maternity and family sessions are held out on location in the later part of the afternoon.

Are you professionally trained?

Yes, I am, I achieved my professional qualification through the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. I have undertaken numerous workshops in newborn posing, lighting, safety and many other photography courses. I consult regularly with nurses and doctors as need be on the safety of my clients and newborns.
